What the $1,850 covers
Three items are included: the implant itself, the stock abutment that connects it to the crown, and the metal-free porcelain crown. Those are the same three items that are quoted separately almost everywhere else, which is how a single tooth reaches $3,200 to $4,400 across the Sacramento region.
Extractions, bone grafting, membranes and custom CAD-CAM abutments are separate and are quoted in writing at your free consultation. See the full price list.
The treatment step by step
1. Free consultation and 3D CT scan
A cone beam scan shows bone height, bone width and the position of nerves and sinuses. Dr. Cheema plans the implant position digitally and gives you a written price the same day. Most Roseville-area offices charge $200–$350 for this scan alone.
2. Placement
The titanium implant is placed into the jawbone under local anaesthetic, usually in about an hour. Where the case allows, a failing tooth is extracted and the implant placed in the same appointment with a socket graft to preserve the ridge.
3. Osseointegration
Over roughly three to four months the bone grows onto the implant surface and locks it in place. This is why implants feel like a tooth rather than an appliance — the load goes into bone, exactly as a natural root does.
4. Abutment and crown
The abutment is fitted and a porcelain crown, milled in our in-house lab from premium zirconia, is shade-matched to your neighbouring teeth and secured. Both are included in the $1,850 fee.

Are you a candidate?
Most adults are. The two things that matter are enough bone to hold the implant and healthy gum tissue around it. Where bone has already been lost — common when a tooth has been missing for years — grafting rebuilds the site, and the CT scan tells us how much is needed before any promises are made.
Uncontrolled diabetes, active gum disease and heavy smoking all reduce success rates. Dr. Cheema will tell you plainly if treating those first gives you a better long-term result than placing an implant now.
Implant vs bridge vs denture
A three-unit bridge requires grinding down the two healthy teeth beside the gap and does nothing for the bone underneath it. A removable partial denture rests on gum tissue that keeps receding, so it needs relining and eventually replacing. An implant leaves the neighbouring teeth untouched, maintains the bone, and commonly lasts decades.
Where an entire arch is failing, the better comparison is All-On-4 fixed teeth rather than eight or ten individual implants.

Caring for an implant
Brush and floss it like a natural tooth and keep routine checkups. Implants cannot decay, but the gum and bone around them can become inflamed — peri-implantitis — which is the main reason implants fail years later. Cleaning around the crown is the whole of the maintenance.
